Battle of the Burgers Rules

1.    Eligibility:
The contest is open to all amateur and professional chefs.

2.    Categories:
The contest will have three categories: appetizers, entrees, and side dishes. The entree dish must feature beef donated by Danny Little as the main ingredient.

3.    Rules and Regulations:
•    Each participant can submit only one entry per category.
•    Participants must use Blackstone grills to cook their dishes.
•    All dishes must be prepared from scratch on-site during the contest, and participants must bring all the necessary ingredients, utensils, and cooking equipment.
•    Participants must use fresh, high-quality beef, supplied by Show Me Youth Ag Academy
•    Participants must supply any additive they choose to create a complete dish.
•    Each dish must be presented on a plate or serving dish and include a description of the dish and its ingredients.
•    Participants will have 90 minutes to prepare and cook their dishes.

4.    Judging Criteria:
•    Taste: 50 points
•    Presentation: 25 points
•    Creativity: 15 points

5.    Prizes:
The winner of each category will receive a prize and a trophy.

Henkle's Ace Hardware


6.    Venue:
The contest will take place at Landreth Park 1001 NW Murphy Blvd, Joplin, MO 64801 with plenty of space for cooking stations and seating.

7.    Advertising:
The contest will be promoted through Vita Nova Village social media, local newspapers, and radio stations to attract participants and spectators.

8.    Safety:
Safety measures will be in place, such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and trained personnel to prevent accidents during the contest.
